This character was created as part of a DND campaign I was in at the time. Simo Lain, a soldier turned mercenary in a far future sci-fi world, with questionable robotic enhancements.
References were first gathered via pinterest and used in a PureRef board to help with the modelling and texture styles.
Initial blockout was created in blender before being taken into ZBrush to create a high poly sculpt.
Said sculpt was taken back into blender for manual retopology and UV unwrapping. The hair, eyes, face and body have seperate materials.
I wanted to create a hand painted PBR texture style to take advantage of the metallic and roughness map.
In Substance Painter a procedural diffuse was created with ambient occlusion, before hand painting the final details.
Finally the optimized model was posed and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
